I enjoy your newsletter." Not to fret, here are a couple of other ones you can try (I haven't used all of these, so make sure they are what you need before you try them, but from my initial review they all appear to be good products) http://www.primopdf.com/ http://www.helpingfoot.com/pdf1 Also, I just tested the site that the original link was to, and it appears to be working - give it a try at: http://www.k2pdf.com/convert.html Hope this helps! ################################################# Jos van Doorn wrote: "Where can I find a FrontPage course? Free of charge" Well, you can get a "free" course on CD at: http://www.videoprofessor-to-go.com/frontpage.html I say "free" because you have to pay $5 or $6 shipping and handling - still not a bad deal, though. A place with some good info online is: http://www.docnmail.com/learn/FrontPage.htm Also, if you Google "Free Fronpage Course" you'll get links to 993,000 different free sources of information about Frontpage. ################################################# Dominique asked: "My biggest question right now deals with web forms. I use GoLive to build my sites. Once I've got the form designed how do I make it work? For example, I want to create an email sign up form (like the one you have below) and a discussion board so that I can gather email addresses and host discussions on my website. How do I go about creating and making that possible?" OK - this is a bit tricky - there are a ton of different ways of processing web forms, and almost all of them are CGI / PERL scripts of some sort. For example, the one that you filled out to give me that question is actually powered by a third party site that processes and stores these questions for me. You can check out this technology at: http://www.helpingfoot.com/ask If you just want the results of the form emailed to you, most people use a version of a script called FormMail. You can get one for free from our site at: http://www.helpingfoot.com/mailform.html One thing - this assumes that you are working on **nix servers - I actually don't have a bunch of experience with Windows, and the above script won't work on Windows. To learn about more complex functions you can use CGI for check out: http://www.helpingfoot.com/books/cgiscripts.html ################################################# OK - I think that is about all I can cover for today. I am getting through all of your questions as fast as I can - I'm not ignoring any of you. Also, some of you posted questions that are pretty complex about ecommerce sites, shopping carts, and more complex scripting, etc. The likelyhood is I will cover that on a conference call sometime in the next month, as I would have to write a book to you through email to cover everything here. Keep up the good work, and let me know if you have any questions or comments! Justin B Handley http://www.helpingfoot.com 16417 Lazare Lane Huntington Beach, CA 92649
